HOUSTON, Texas (KTRK) — Police consider a girl shot and killed outside the gymnasium she frequents in southeast Houston was an harmless sufferer in a string of attempted carjackings.

Houston police responded to a capturing just ahead of 5 a.m. Thursday outside the house Existence Fit Personalized Health and fitness Studio, positioned in the 10500 block of Fuqua Street in the vicinity of Beamer Street.

According to HPD, the female, discovered as 62-yr-previous Elsa Mikeska, pulled into the parking good deal at the health and fitness center for a 5 a.m. training. “Ideally they realize they did a little something to somebody (who’s) a grandmother, a sister, mother, spouse,” reported Frank Delgado, who attends the health and fitness center.

Police consider the exact suspects robbed a woman whose car broke down on the facet of the street at Clearcroft and Freehill, which is less than three miles from the fitness center.

ABC13 spoke with a neighbor who reported he assisted the target with the disabled car. He reported around 4 a.m. on Thursday she ran up to him stating a gun was pointed at her. She claimed the perpetrators stole her phone and her wallet. He known as 911.

The crimes have left the neighborhood shaken.

“It can be in fact really surprising to hear that a person of our neighborhood members handed absent,” stated Lizbeth Ojeda, who life in the space.

Law enforcement are on the lookout for a few suspects: the two adult men who bought out of the SUV and the driver. Officers say the two gentlemen seen are Hispanic males in their early 20s.
